A retired businessman, Peter attended the Open College of Arts, Newcastle University 1993-1996, followed by two years at Newcastle College.
In 1991 he was the winner of the Alnwick open Visual Arts Exhibition and from 1995 hi soil paintings have been in many North East Art Galleries. Peter’s entry into the Mall Galleries in London 2001 earned him Highly Commended and further success was achieved by reaching he final of the Churchill society Awards for Fine Art in Westminster.
Since 2001 he has been invited to give talks and run workshops at various art venues. Most inspiration for his work is gained outdoors, where small, direct studies capture the colour and atmosphere and then the finalised paintings are collated and enlarged at his home studio. Although primarily an oil painter, Peter works and exhibits in other mediums.
Commissions are considered by our artists but are not guaranteed to be accepted by them. In the instance of an artist turning down a commission we will suggest alternative artists for your consideration.
All Commissions must have a 50% non refundable deposit paid up-front. Once the commission is produced you are not obliged to purchase the artwork but you will not be entitled to a refund of your deposit.
The Copy right to all commissioned artwork continues to belong to the artist after purchase.
