Sarah Farooqi

Sarah Farooqi is a local watercolour artist who feels so lucky to be living in Northumberland. Trained as a graphic designer in Leeds, Sarah worked in Glasgow and also spent time as a primary school teacher in Blyth where she realised that instead of teaching the children to paint, she just wanted to do it herself! Now based in Felton, Sarah combines her love of the Northumbrian landscape with a life long passion for art. From a pen drawing Sarah’s pictures evolve into busy, layered collages which reflect her love of detail and colour, and hopefully a sense of fun. Commissions include visitor maps for Alnwick Castle, Northumberland AONB and the National Trust.
