This female Reed Bunting is a part of the sparrow family, although the female Reed Bunting does not have the bold black crest like the male, the beautiful striped pattern of the feathers are almost more stunning and intricate. Brought to life by the splashes of bold colour in the backgroud, Kath has used texture and patterning with acrylics to create n almost mythical-type of world behind the Reed Bunting.
