2018 saw a season of drama throughout the F1 racing calendar and 2019 could be set to make motor racing history, delivered by a Brit!
With rumours spreading that this could be the last Grand Prix held at Silverstone race circuit we are sure to witness an a eventful weekend, especially with Lewis Hamilton looking for another triumph in front of his home crowd. Lewis last won the British Grand Prix in 2017, which put him level with Jam Clark and Alain Prost as 5 times winners of this spectacular event. If he was to win this year, he would be making British Motorsports history by achieving a record-breaking 6 victories.
Are you a Hamilton Fan, or indeed a Formula 1 fan of the past and present?
Why not take a look at the Formula 1 artwork available from motorsports artists Kevin McNicholas. Kevin spends an average of 1,200 hours creating each painting, starting with a graphite drawing, then building the detail with ink, before painstakingly adding thin layers of acrylic paint, using traditional brushes, to achieve photo-realistic perfection.
Kevin’s paintings have enabled him to gain access to the highly technical but extremely secretive world of Formula 1 motor racing by painting pictures of the Formula 1 cars for leading luminaries of the sport, including Nigel Mansell, Ron Dennis and Sir Frank Williams.
Kevin’s latest paintings are now on display (and for sale) at Newcastle based gallery North East Art Collective, upper level Eldon Garden. If you would like to see them in person why not call in?
